Design Phillipe Starck was quoted as saying that Patrick Chia is creating, "new forms of furniture that both exploit technology and defy convention." It is the organic nature of the furniture that sets it apart. "A design may be called organic when there is a harmonious organization of the parts within the whole, according to structure, material and purpose.
