"With the simplicity,
clean lines and beautiful detailing that recall the designs of Alvar Aalto,
Ray and Charles Eames, and Pierre Chareau, Deam's ingenious pieces look
set ot become enduring classics." --Tessa Souter, House Beautiful,
May 1995
Christopher Deam's furniture
seamlessly blends the simplicity and functionality of both the European
and American design traditions. A Milan trained architect who cut his
teeth in the studios of both Memphis's Metteo Thun and Antonio Citterio,
Deam has also worked with noted American architect Frank O. Gehry.
With a keen eye focused
on the way in which we live, or could live, Deam's work gives elegant
solutions for the demands of flexibility and mobility required in home
or office. His quest to make his furniture "essential" is
epitomized in his minimal yet multifunctional designs. His furniture
embodies the superior craft, material sensitivity and legible function
pertinent to responsible design for the next century.
